This video was created for an internal presentation to show an example of what video content CBS interactive could come up with.
To create an engaging motion graphics video that could be embedded online along accompanying stories. CBS sold pre-roll ads and was looking for a way to increase video plays with our online partners.
Challenges / Solutions
To create content that would show the benefits of embedding video to all parties involved. The primary challenge was to come up with something engaging to the consumer with having very little related content like video or photos to use. The solution was to display fun facts about two teams history leading up to the game using kinetic text animation as the leading platform. For this example, I used an upcoming football game between rival schools MSU and Michigan. I was able to search historical facts about their rivalry and animate them using text, stock images, and logos. I ended the video showing the benefit to our partners by creating a spot where the universities could apply for the promotion of items like tickets and or merchandise.
